We will continue to staff our camp with experienced teachers, coaches, basketball players and former campers. Coach Harwood is off to a hot start in his 33rd year as the Boys Varsity Coach at Magruder High School and he has been a certified PE teacher since 1981. Coach Harwood has won two state championships at Magruder in 2001 and 2012. In the 2016-2017 season Coach Harwood reached 500 wins in Montgomery County. Alongside Dan Harwood is his son Tim Harwood - who is a teacher, assistant coach of the varsity team, and head coach of the JV team. Rosemary Harwood (a pediatric nurse for 40 years) will continue to work to assure that we have a safe environment for your child.
Our camp is the longest running family run basketball camp in Montgomery County because we emphasize sportsmanship, fun and basketball skills for campers of all skill levels. We do our best to teach the fundamentals of basketball to campers through individual skill work, team activities as well as games.

"My basketball camp will mirror my basketball program at Magruder High School. I want players to have so much fun that they won't want to stop playing. The more they play, the more they will improve their basketball skills and the more they enjoy the game of basketball. To get better, players must develop three things: shooting form, ball handling and moves. These skills are essentials in order to compete against superior players or athletes. I look forward to seeing you this summer." - Coach Harwood
